Construction Resumes on World Tallest Building in Saudi Arabia

Construction has resumed on what will be the world’s tallest tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, expected to be completed by 2028. The Jeddah Economic Company (JEC) Tower will stand over 1,000 meters tall with 157 floors, making it the tallest structure globally.

So far, 63 floors are finished, and Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) recently signed a SAR 7.2 billion ($1.9 billion) deal with Saudi Binladin Group to continue the project. This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to diversify the economy and boost tourism.

The tower will be the centerpiece of JEC City, a mixed-use development featuring residential, commercial, and entertainment spaces.
